Who is BPIC?

Bishops' Plan Insurance Company (BPIC) is a captive insurance company owned by 31 Roman Catholic dioceses and archdioceses across the United States. Established in 2003, BPIC provides tailored, comprehensive risk financing and self-insurance solutions designed to meet the unique needs of each member diocese.

Our Mission

We aim to reduce the total cost of risk for our members while providing greater control over claims and incidents. By leveraging a collaborative approach, we help dioceses manage their risk more effectively and reclaim dollars for ministry over the long term.

Governance

BPIC is governed by a Captive Board of Directors, an Episcopal Moderator, and various Operating Committees, ensuring robust oversight and strategic direction.
